Survivor

Survivor is a novel by Chuck Palahniuk. A satire of commercial culture, it is the story of Tender Branson, a member of the Creedish Church, a death cult. In it, every member learns how to be a servant for the human race—most of them are butlers and maids—and fear most human pleasures. They await a sign from God to tell them to deliver themselves unto Him; that is, they must commit suicide.

okay, this is one of my favorite books that I've read so far -- and that's saying a lot.

thoughts? discuss?

this book is where that term came from.

but yeah. it's an awesome book.

kind of freaky, but awesome.

I just found that one reading the wiki page.

that's so cool.

this book almost made me cry. T_T the ending was intense for me. imagine if they made a film adaptation of the novel?

I still haven't finished reading this book. ;_;

I bought it a few months ago but with all the reading I have to do for school I just haven't had the time to sit down and read it.

But what I've read so far is amazing...I can't wait to finish it.

it's a pretty sick book.

both ways.

like, the guy who wrote it, chuck palahniuk, is fucking mad. just insane.

at least, he must be, because i can't see how else he could have come up with these plots...

still surely worth reading.
